Curriculum

Research has shown that children do their most important learning before the age of five. Our programs have been developed to provide the best intellectual, emotional, physical and social support during this critical period.

Jack and Jill Childcare uses a comprehensive, research based High Scope® curriculum along with kindergarten readiness standards. It is built around teacher- and child- initiated learning activities that promote active learning. The same weekly themes are used in all classrooms at age appropriate levels, allowing for their integration into all daily activities.

Our High Scope® curriculum balances teacher initiated and child initiated opportunities for our children to learn in a nonsexist, multi-cultural environment that is filled with age appropriate equipment and learning materials.

Our daily lesson plans integrate the five main categories of High Scope® that correspond to state and national learning standards. Within these content areas are key developmental indicators of observable behaviors that define the important learning areas for young children.
