| Our Childcare Program |
Over forty years ago, Barbara Wilkinson opened Jack
and Jill in the Macalaster/Groveland area of St. Paul as
one of the first nursery school programs in the Twin Cities.
In 1964 the program moved to Roseville with Alice Marks,
an influential leader in child development, who took
over Jack and Jill, and directed it for 25 years.
Today
Jack and Jill is owned by Carol Arens (Unlimited Potential
in Education, Inc.). Carol became interested in child
care when she saw the need for a strong early childhood
program that allowed parents to be actively involved.
Jack and Jill offers child care programs for children
age six weeks to 12 years. Care is available full-time
and part-time for infant, toddler and preschool children.
Jack and Jill provides an Enrichment Program for before
and after school, early release and non-school days for
students kindergarten through grade 6. Programming is
offered to accommodate the Roseville, Mounds View and St.
Paul Minnesota School District school calendars.
Weekly summer
camps run June to September, focusing on 12 thematic
one week camps, with three different age groups. The camps
are all inclusive regarding field trips, sports activities,
swimming, art activities, meals and snacks.
Jack and Jill has semi-annual parent-teacher development
conferences. |
